Power in the Journey of Recovery

You’re not powerless... you’re being empowered by Christ.

Recovery is not just about breaking free from something. Recover for believers is about becoming someone new. It’s a process, a journey, and most importantly, it’s powered by God through His Holy Spirit, not by you. The world might tell you you're too broken, too far gone, or too weak. But Scripture says you are God's vessel... fragile, yes, but chosen and set apart to carry God’s power.

In your weakest moments, God’s strength shows up the strongest. When you stop trying to hold everything together on your own, that's when grace rushes in. The shame that once kept you silent becomes a testimony that shouts freedom. The cravings, the setbacks, the regrets — none of them can cancel what God is doing in your life if you keep surrendering and submitting.

Real recovery is not about looking strong on the outside. It’s about being transformed from the inside... where the Holy Spirit of God dwells. Your journey may be slow, messy, or even painful at times. But every step forward, no matter how small, is a display of God’s power working within you.

You’re not walking alone. You’re walking with the One who restores, rebuilds, and renews. Don’t measure your progress by the world's standards. Measure it by your willingness to keep going, to keep trusting, and to keep inviting God into every part of the process.

“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.”
Isaiah 40:29

Closing Prayer

Abba Father, I thank You for being my strength when I have none. Empower me today not just to avoid falling, but to rise and walk boldly with You. Let Your power be made perfect in my weakness. In Jesus Name, Amen.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
