Still Standing

What tried to take you out only proved that God is holding you up.

Key Verse:

"For we are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed."
— 2 Corinthians 4:8–9

Reflection:

You’ve been through more than most people will ever know, having suffered pain that should’ve broken you. Choices that almost buried you. Spiritual warfare that felt like it would never end.

And yet—you’re still standing.

That’s not a sign of how strong you are. It's the evidence of how faithful God is and evidence of His Power within you through the Holy Spirit.

When everything came crashing down, Jesus held you up. When the voices of shame, addiction, and despair tried to silence you, the voice of the Shepherd kept calling your name. You knew His voice and followed Him. And here you are, not perfect, not without wounds... but breathing, believing, and still moving forward.

Being "still standing" doesn’t mean you're not tired. It means you didn’t quit. It means God's hand has been under you the whole time. If the enemy couldn’t take you out then he certainly can’t stop you now.

Let today be a celebration of God’s power and your perseverance. You're still standing! So, now it's time to start walking in victory and keep walking until the end of the race.

Supporting Scriptures:

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.”
— Psalm 37:23–24

“Having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…”
— Ephesians 6:13–14

"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.”
— 2 Thessalonians 3:3

Closing Prayer:

Abba Father, thank You that when everything around me collapsed, You held me up. I’m not still standing because I’m strong; I’m still standing because You are with me. Help me remember that each breath is a sign of Your mercy and each step forward is a victory in Christ, despite the struggles I will have. Give me courage not just to survive, but to walk boldly into the future that You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
