Life After Death
By Choice, You Will Live Forever Somewhere

“And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.”
— 1 John 2:25
DEVO
If you’ve ever stood at a graveside or wrestled with the weight of your own past, you’ve probably asked: “What happens when we die?”
Here’s the truth:
You will live forever.
But the real question is—where?
God made us eternal beings. That means when this physical body dies, your soul lives on. And Scripture is clear: there are only two destinations after death—heaven or hell. It your choice.
This isn’t fear tactics. It’s truth in love.
“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
Daniel 12:2
Heaven is real. So is hell.
But God doesn’t send you to hell—you choose it by rejecting the only One who can save you - Jesus Christ.
You don’t get into heaven by being “good enough.” You get there by admitting you’re not—and trusting that Jesus was.
He died for your sins, shed His blood on the cross, died and rose again, and offers eternal life freely to anyone who believes.
Not religion. Not rules. Just repentance and surrender.
If you’ve done that—you don’t have to fear death. Heaven isn’t just your future... it’s your home.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Everyone Will Live Forever—But Not Everyone in the Same Place
“And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
— Matthew 25:46 (NKJV)
Two destinations. One choice.
Jesus Is the Only Way to Eternal Life in Heaven
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
— John 14:6 (NKJV)
He didn’t leave multiple paths. He IS the path.
Hell Was Not Created for You
“Then He will also say... ‘Depart from Me... into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’”
— Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)
Hell wasn’t made for people—but people go there when they reject the Savior.
God Desires That None Should Perish
“The Lord... is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
— 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
God’s heart is mercy. But He won’t force it. You must choose.
For the Believer, Death Is Not the End
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:8 (NKJV)
Instant transition. Eternal joy. No more pain, fear, sickness, disease, death, or addiction.
INTROSPECTIVE QUESTIONS:
Have I made peace with where I’ll spend eternity?
Do I truly believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven?
Am I living like someone who knows eternity is real?
Who in my life needs to hear this truth before it’s too late?
What’s stopping me from fully surrendering to Christ right now?
PRAYER:
Jesus,
Thank You for telling the truth about eternity. Thank You for dying in my place so I could live forever with You. I choose heaven—I choose You. Help me walk every day with eternity in mind. Use my life to help others find the way, the truth, and the life that only You offer. In Your name I pray, amen.
GOAL FOR TODAY:
Say it out loud:
“I will live forever. And because of Jesus, I will live in heaven.”
Then ask someone close to you:
“Do you know where you'll spend eternity?”
Not to scare—but to love them with the truth.
