Admitting Wrong to Change Your Life
It Starts With Being Honest With God

“He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”
Proverbs 28:13
DEVO
Will you join me for a few moments so that I can be real with you? Have a seat and let's talk in this very safe place. It's you, me, and Jesus.
If you want real healing, real peace, and real change, it starts with being honest. You can’t keep covering up what God’s trying to heal. I know it’s hard to admit a wrong, but pretending isn’t getting you anywhere, is it?
Confession isn’t weakness. Confession leads to true repentance. If you're real, it’s the moment Jesus steps in and starts changing everything. He’s not waiting for you to clean it all up... He’s waiting for you to come to Him and come clean.
When you finally say, “I was wrong, and I don’t want to live like this anymore,” that’s when you stop just surviving and start walking in freedom.
📖 SUPPORTING SCRIPTURES:
Psalm 51:10,17 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God… a broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not despise.”
2 Corinthians 7:10 – “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted…”
James 5:16 – “Confess your trespasses to one another… that you may be healed.”
❓ INTROSPECTIVE QUESTIONS
What am I still trying to cover up instead of confessing?
Have I actually turned from it—or just apologized to God without repentance by never doing it again?
What would full honesty and surrender look like for me today?
🎯 GOAL FOR TODAY:
Take a few honest minutes with God. Speak openly wo Him without any filters. Confess what needs to be confessed, repent, and invite Him to change what needs to be changed.
🙏 PRAYER:
Abba Father, I’ve held on to things You’ve asked me to let go of. I’ve made excuses and downplayed sin. But I’m done with that. I admit I was wrong. I don’t want to hide anymore. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and give me the strength to walk in a new direction without ever looking back or going back. I want to live clean, whole, and free. Thank You! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
